Uniform
In advance of purchasing uniforms over the summer months please note that brown, black or navy leather shoes must be worn. No runners, converse, boots, ugg boots, canvas shoes etc. are permitted. Only on the day that a student is timetabled for PE may they wear their PE uniform (in full). Further information about our uniform is available on our website here.
Jewellery
Please also note that the wearing of facial jewellery is not permitted. Jewellery must be kept to a minimum. One pair of stud earrings no more than 4mm in diameter can be worn. No spacers, bars, hoops, etc are allowed.
School Jacket
We are phasing in our newly designed school jacket as a compulsory part of the school uniform. From the beginning of the coming academic year this jacket is compulsory for all First Year and Transition Year students. This is the only jacket that will be permitted to be worn in school and on school related activities. The jacket along with other school clothing may be purchased on our online portal here. This portal will close on Friday June 6th and you are therefore advised to purchase any items in advance of this date.
School Procedures Summary
A summary of school procedures for students and their Parents/Guardians is available here. We ask that Parents/Guardians to review these carefully and discuss them with their children.
Mobile Phones
The Department of Education and Youth requires that schools implement a policy to restrict the use of and access to personal mobile phones by students in all recognised schools for the duration of the school day. Therefore mobile phone use is not permitted in our school. All students are reminded that mobile phones must be switched off upon entering the school grounds. These must be stored in the students locker for the full duration of the school day (including during break times).
If a parent/guardian wishes to make contact with their son/daughter during school hours, please do so through the school office only (061 330785).
The Senior Leadership Team will facilitate year group assemblies during your child's first week at school. These assemblies will help everyone to focus on the year ahead, enable us to set out our expectations and maintain our whole school community as a positive and productive place to learn and work together.
Attendance
School attendance is a critical factor in a student's academic success and overall development. Regular attendance ensures students don't miss essential instruction, helping them build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills. It also fosters a sense of responsibility and routine, which are valuable life skills. By prioritising consistent attendance, we can work together to help every student reach their full potential.
- Absences From School: Parents/Guardians must notify the school of any absences. This notification must include both the date(s) of the absence as well as the reason for the absence. The school must record all such absences. This is a legal requirement. Parents/Guardians can provide these details in the attendance section of the VSware app - this should be done before 08.30am where possible so as to avoid any unnecessary contact being made with parents/guardians.
- Collecting Students From School (during the school day):
- Full attendance at school is extremely important (unless a student is ill, etc). Students should only have to leave the school during the school day for essential appointments that cannot be scheduled after school hours. If it is necessary to collect your son/daughter from the school during the school day the following procedures apply:
- Parents/Guardians must fully complete an absence request on VSware. This request must state the time at which the student is to be collected at and the reason for the request to be collected. The departure time must coincide with a scheduled break in class (ie students will not be permitted to leave mid-class). This request can be submitted a number of days in advance and will be automatically reflected in the students attendance record once it is approved by the school.
- The student must exit via the main school office and notify office staff as they leave.
- A parent/guardian must be present at the office to sign the student out.
- Where a student is returning after an appointment they are required to sign in at the school office.
- Students are not permitted to sign out of school at recurring times (say on a weekly basis) unless for exceptional reasons and with the expressed permission of the Principal. This applied regardless of the age of the student.

VSware
VSware is our schools information management system that provides parents with a central hub to stay informed about their child's school life. Through a dedicated app or website, parents can check attendance, view timetables and academic reports and communicate directly with the school. It helps parents to be more engaged and up-to-date on their child's progress without having to wait for a parent-teacher meeting or a mailed report. To learn more about how you can use VSware please click here.
Way 2 Pay
Way2Pay is an online payment platform that allows parents to easily pay for school-related items and events. It provides a secure and convenient way to manage and track all school payments in one place, eliminating the need for cash and checks. Parents can also receive notifications and reminders from the school. To learn more about how to use Way 2 Pay please click here.
Calendar of Activities & Events
Our school calendar is updated on an ongoing basis so that you know when important school events are scheduled to take place. This includes school holidays, school trips, matches, parent/teacher meetings, exams, etc. If you already use Google Calendar you can add our calendar so that all events are automatically visible to you. To view and to integrate our calendar please click here.
We have also produced a short, printable version of our calendar showing school closures, exams, parent/teacher meetings, etc. While this version does not contain much of the information that is listed on our other calendar it is nevertheless useful should you wish to print a copy for display at home. You can download this sort calendar here.
