Castletroy College

Transition Year

The aim of our Transition Year Programme in Castletroy College is to afford students opportunities to discover and develop their individual gifts and strengths, to become more independent and to experience a year where the emphasis will be on cultivating individual responsibility for study and self-directed work.

The programme also aims to encourage the development of thinking, caring, articulate and self-confident young people.

Students will be helped to discover individual talents, aptitudes and abilities, understand their own educational needs and develop those skills and competences necessary to cope successfully with their particular stage of development.
