Castletroy College Rugby
Castletroy College has a proud tradition in Rugby, winning every major Munster schools competition in its short history. As a Munster A School we compete annually in the Munster Schools Senior and Junior Cup, which is a great source of pride for all the players, coaches, teachers and volunteers involved in Rugby in the school.
Castletroy fields teams at all age grades within the school. With up to three teams in first year, two at u15 level and teams at u16, u18 and u19 it takes a lot of school and community support. We currently have 10 teachers, 8 parents and 10 ex-pupils volunteering their time actively coaching the teams along with some other very committed and generous coaches. There is also a wide network of support from parents helping with off field matters.
We encourage all parents and ex-pupils to make contact and help us improve our rugby programs for the students. Help of any sort is always welcomed.
Beginners are welcome at all ages and we encourage all our incoming first years to give it a try.
