The Minister for education, Norma Foley, announced this month that the Junior Cycle results would be released on Wednesday the 18th of October. The Junior Cycle exams ran from the 7th to the 19th of June with a record 71,000 students sitting their Junior Cycle Exams. Last year, the results were not issued until late November.
Minister Foley said that she knows, “that there are students the length and breadth of the country eagerly anticipating that date", and she is glad to give clarity to students about their results.
Results will become available to students’ schools on Wednesday morning. However, students will also be able to access their results online from 4pm that evening. Students will be able to log in to the State Examinations Commission website with their exam number and pin which can be gotten from your school.
Students will receive a Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA) alongside their grades this year. This captures students’ achievements outside of the 9 exam subjects and will also showcase students’ CBA results. This provides the school with an opportunity to celebrate students’ individual achievements in other areas of learning outside of the exam subjects and shows that there is more to students than their exam.
Best of luck to everybody in Castletroy College receiving their results.
