On Friday, the 18th of October, six transition year students from the school ventured to U.L to aid the An Garda Siochana hosting a primary school soccer blitz.
The matches took place indoors in the UL arena, where several matches took place at a time. Various schools from all over Limerick gathered to participate in this event, including St Pats, Gaelscoil, Milford, Castleconnell, and Caherdavin.
The transition year students were divided between teams where they took on various tasks. Many had to take turns refereeing these eight minutes a half games, whilst others kept the scores of several matches.
The day began at 9.30 am to continued to early afternoon. After a great display from all teams, Caherdavin were successful in the end. Overall, it was a great day for all the transition year students involved, and a wonderful experience for them.
